The familiarity we have with childhood hometowns and memorable landscapes can make us feel nostalgic when we are away from them.
I wanted to explore the identity of the seaside village of Dymchurch. Usually a quiet coastal location, in the summer seasons it is transformed by the tourists that flood in daily. Therefore, this project has been taken in the off season, focusing on the landscape without the busyness and gloss of the summer season allowing the viewer to imagine it as a place inhabited, not just visited.
